About me
I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. After
graduating from Simon Fraser University with a B.A. in Political
Science, I made my way to Japan and worked at a number of Universities
and private high schools around Tokyo. In 2002 and 2003 I participated
in the DHC translation contest and in both contests was one of the
runner ups for the top prize. In 2002 I also won the Daily Yomiyuri
translation contest twice. In 2003 I began to work as a Japanese-to-English
translator. In addition, I obtained the FITT diploma in international
trade. I also have a strong interest in trading and investing and
actively manage my own portfolio of investments - including stocks,
bonds and options.
I am currently residing in Tokyo, Japan.
As time has gone on I have moved from strength to strength expanding
my translation portfolio. As a translator, I have working knowledge
in areas of business, marketing and finance, manufacturing, construction,
real estate and the energy industry.
